Professor Cone and the Macaw Episode 2
June 24th
Today is a sad day.
My beloved macaw bird has disappeared. Vanishing does not mean disappearing. That is, I did not do any scientific tests on it. Where did he really go? It is as mysterious as its sudden appearance.
In the morning, I opened the door of the laboratory and saw that the iron stand next to the north window was empty. I had so much faith in the bird that I did not chain it.
I clearly remember that I put my hand on the window. Now I see the window is open. It is not impossible for the bird to get out through the gaps. But who opened the door? If so, did Macao-Babaji do this himself with his big lips? But there was no shortage of so many pet birds, food or care - why would that bird run away?
I was upset! A bright red feather lay on the floor near the window. I put it away carefully. After that I closed the laboratory and came to the second floor and sat quietly on my cane chair by the bedroom window.
In the afternoon my neighbor Avinashbabu came. While drinking tea, he started chattering so much that once he wanted to offer another cup of tea and mix some new medicine with it and teach him a little. But it was no longer necessary.
The gentleman guessed my mood and left by himself. Not only because the mystery of the bird was not solved but because the bird was really enchanted - hence my state of mind.
I have to take the medicine again from tomorrow. I know the only thing that will help me forget the sadness of this friend-parting.
21st July
Today's events are as exciting as they are unbelievable. Few would like to know that all such fascinating events took place in the life of a scientist.
It was a little cold due to the rain for a few days. I felt quite comfortable in the morning along Ushri, so it seems that the level of walking was a little higher today. It was around seven o'clock when I returned home. Prahlad is not yet back from the market. So when I came close to the house and saw the front door open, I was shocked.
I quickly realized that the lock was not opened normally. It is opened by melting it with the help of heat in a scientific way.
My chest heaved.
Running inside the house, he saw Newton first. He is standing in a corner of the living room with his fur standing up like a rabbit.
I don't remember ever seeing Newton look so horrified.
Again I heard a sound from the direction of my laboratory. Who is rummaging through my stuff?
I rushed into the laboratory and saw a strange sight. All my flasks, retorts, test tubes etc. research equipment are scattered around, cupboards are open, books are covered in dust, medicine bottles are lying on the table while they are open, medicine is coming out of the table and falling on the floor.
In the next moment, another scene came into view. A bunch of my notes while wandering around in the empty book suddenly flew to the window!
I saw the children in the window had been melted and removed. I was stunned for a few seconds and then regained my composure and suddenly grabbed my things and went to the window and jumped on my books.
Then a strange war. I had a fight with an invisible robber! The man is not so young. I had to hurry to deal with him as he disappeared. But I am not a quitter either. Those accounts are my life. It contains all the results of my forty years of scientific life. Desperately using all the strength of his body, the man threw a reckless kill punch and kicked the books, the moment the man threw the window and fell into the garden outside. I somehow went to the window and looked up to see a footprint on the grass of the garden moving towards Panchil.
Then came the hoarse voice of a familiar bird and the flapping of its wings.
The man is trying to escape by climbing the eastern wall. Because the horse sapling that came out of the crack in Panchil's body was disintegrated before the eyes.
And at that time I heard the cry of a man's voice.
This voice is my familiar voice
This voice belongs to Professor Gajanan Tarafdar.
The Invisible Macaw attacked the Invisible Professor.
The stream of blood is coming down the panchil's neck towards the grass of the garden.
Then the sound is Dhoop.
Professor Tarafdar has fallen on the other side of the panchil.
Then finally the sound of running feet.
I sat down tiredly on the chair by the window.
With my hand on the chest, I realized that the heart rate has increased.
This time I heard a bang and looked up to see Macao's standing shaking.
Babaji is back!
Buena Dia! Buena Dia!'
I replied in English, 'Good morning! What's the matter?'
Come back! Come back!
I can see him, Thudi, I can hear!
"Thief, thief! Jocchor, Jocchor, Jocchor!
"Who?"
Tarfdarr!'
"How do you know him?"
What Macao said revealed a surprising story.
Tarafdar went to Brazil a year ago. He brought this bird from a circus there and also stole it. A bookie used to play in that circus with this macaw, who knew seventeen foreign languages and had a miraculous memory. Therefore, Tarafdar has no credit for his intelligence and eloquence.
Although Macao learned Bengali from Tarafdar.
Leave the tarafdar bird on the branch of my golanch tree so that it can stay with me, collect my formula, then go to him and tell him the formula.
After learning the ingredients of the drug of disappearance from Makoty, Tarafdar made himself invisible by drinking it to make a mixture that would make him invisible for ten hours.
At that time the macaw notices the behavior of Tarfdar and realizes that this time he has planned to kill his pet bird. Because he may have feared that the bird might leak the formula to another scientist in the future. When the gun and tote came out of the closet of the invisible guard, the macaw, seeing no other way to defend himself, opened the medicine bottle with a bite of the lip, closed the lid, swallowed some medicine and disappeared.
Tarfdar could do nothing but shoot here and there and wound the walls of the house. Then Tarafdar drove to Giridi from Hazaribagh in that invisible condition. He didn't notice the macaw sitting in the back seat of the car.
After reaching Giridi, leaving the car a little far away from the last night, sitting behind a bush near my house, and when Prahlad and I left the house, there was a robbery!
I asked - where were you at the time of the robbery?"
Out, out. in your tree
'Then?'
I caught him when he came out. Thief thief, jocchor jocchor.'
"And me?"
“Good, good. I will stay here.'
“Fine, don't stay. Is there no friendship with a scientist? My formula will not reach others?'
Macao laughed like that again.
I asked - 'How much medicine did you take?
'Ten o'clock at night.'
"But now it's eight o'clock. It's been ten hours."
"That's it! Yes, yes, yes, yes.'
With that smile, I saw that my room slowly became light. Not sunlight, but the eyes of the macaw's variegated plumage flashed back to my laboratory view.
I swept my notebooks, got up from the chair and patted Macaota's head and said 'Thank you!!
Macao said, 'Gracia, Gracia!
